The luminous efficiency and life of LED lamps are closely related to the working temperature of the LED chip. The quality of the whole lamp is also affected by factors such as the LED chip, radiator, and power supply. There are nine test laboratories in SEVA's experimental center, with more than 100 sets of advanced test equipment, which are tested according to relevant national or industry-standard methods, such as: GB and other standards. It can also be tested according to IEC, ATEX, UL, and other test standards as needed.

Test 1:  Optical performance test

Common detection contents: luminous intensity detection, luminous flux and luminous efficacy detection, spectral characteristics detection (LED spectral characteristics detection includes spectral power distribution, color coordinates, color temperature, color rendering index, etc.) light intensity distribution test, etc.

1)Test items

It is mainly responsible for the luminosity and chroma parameters of the light source and the average

chroma parameters of indoor and outdoor lighting lamps. And the stroboscopic parameter measurement of lamps and light sources; Small size and high precision measurement of components.

2)Main equipment and uses

1. High precision and fast spectral radiometer test system, used for the measurement of luminosity and

chroma parameters of light source products; Measurement of average chroma parameters of indoor and outdoor lighting.

2. Light source stroboscope is used to measure the reference frequency, flicker percentage (PF), flicker

index (FI) and modulation depth (MD) of lamps and light sources.

3. The secondary image instrument is used for small size and high precision measurement of lamps, control devices, light sources and other parts: measuring the center of the circle (arc) on the object, radius, line width, Angle, distance and intersection; It has the function of program editing. The system includes image processing functions, such as removing the rough edges and finding the center line. In addition, it also has statistical analysis, automatic focus, automatic detection and other functions.

Mainly responsible for indoor and outdoor lighting lamps, light source products, distribution luminosity,

illumination, brightness detection.

2)Main equipment and uses

1.Distributed photometer test system, used for the detection of electrical parameters, illumination, light

intensity distribution, lamp efficiency, luminous flux and other parameters of lamps.

2.Handheld illuminometer is used to detect the surface illumination of lamps and light sources in different scenes.

3.Hand-held luminance meter is used to detect the surface brightness of lamps and light sources in different scenes.

Test 2:  Light decay test

For the durability and stability of the lamps, it is also necessary to carry out a light decay test, and use the darkroom to obtain the data before and after the aging of the lamps. Generally, 7 days, 1 month, 3 months, half a year and other different times will be selected to measure.

Test 3Environmental test

For example, the thermal shock test is to test the adaptability of the rapid changes in the ambient temperature of the lamps, especially many high-power lamps are installed outdoors, facing a more complex application environment, there may be many situations.

pressure start test, high temperature and low-pressure impact

humidity and heat test, etc.

Salt spray resistance test

Lamps installed outdoors, especially in coastal areas, where the installation environment is in a salt spray environment, can be tested for salt spray (usually tested in a salt spray environment for 24 hours to check for cracks), it is required to be tested in a salt spray environment. intact.

Generally, outdoor lamps and lanterns require a protection level of IP65 or higher, and the test is carried out according to the standard of IP65 level. The sample lamps need to be free of dust and water. Part of the installation needs to be soaked in water, and there are also IP67-68, which can be soaked in water.

For example,  vibration testing. Lamp vibration detection, taking the CB standard as an example, the vibration test time is 30 minutes, 2.3G, after the vibration test, the lamps have no parts falling off, structural damage, and poor lighting, and the sample lamps must be in good condition.

For example, switch test, in order to ensure the reliability of lamps, it is also necessary to do the cyclic switch test of lamps. Taking CB as an example, it is tested 70,000 times with 5 seconds on and 5 seconds off.

LED is a unipolar PN junction diode composed of semiconductor inorganic materials, and the relationship between its voltage and current is called volt-ampere characteristics. The electrical characteristic parameters of the LED include forward current, forward voltage, reverse current and reverse voltage. The LED must be driven by a suitable current and voltage to work normally (as shown in Figure 1). Through the test of the electrical characteristics of the LED, the maximum allowable forward voltage, forward current, reverse voltage and current of the LED can be obtained, and the best working electric power of the LED can also be determined.

The electrical characteristics of LEDs are generally tested with a voltage and current meter under the corresponding constant current and constant voltage source.
